Snorkelling over lava in a protected reserve at Āhihi Bay — the best fish count on the coast when the sea is calm. Rocky entry: reef shoes, no fins on the rocks. No facilities.
No reservation; $10 per vehicle day-use fee, card only. Open 5:30 AM–7:30 PM daily; the anchialine ponds are closed to all entry.
Only when calm. Closed sections are signed; respect them. $5 parking.
