Honolulu — Aloha Tower to Aloha Stadium
The Great Aloha Run is one of Hawaiʻi's largest participatory events, an 8.15-mile charity run held every Presidents' Day in February. Tens of thousands of runners and walkers travel from Aloha Tower in downtown Honolulu to Aloha Stadium in Hālawa, raising money for local charities in a festive, community-wide morning. Dukeʻs OceanFest is a weeklong ocean-sports festival held each August on Waikīkī Beach, celebrating Duke Kahanamoku — Olympic swimming champion, father of modern surfing, and Hawaiʻi's beloved ambassador of aloha.
