Half a mile of boardwalk over Keālia Pond's coastal wetland: stilts, coots, turtles offshore in season, interpretive signs. Free lot on North Kihei Road. Pedestrian only.
No booking, free. Boardwalk open daily 6:30 AM–7 PM with a 14-space lot off North Kīhei Road between Kīhei and Māʻalaea; no pets, drones, jogging or bikes. The refuge visitor center (Milepost 6, Maui Veterans Hwy) is open weekdays only.
Morning; the wind funnels through here by early afternoon.
