Kīhei
The longest beach on Maui and close to empty: walk north from Kenolio toward Maʻalaea with nobody in sight. Swimming is fine on calm days; the wind picks up after noon.
No booking, free. Park at Kenolio Beach Park or the Kīhei end of North Kīhei Road and walk north on the sand; few facilities along the beach itself.
Mornings. Windy afternoons on the north end.
