Kalāheo

The largest coffee estate in the United States — 3,100 acres producing 50% of all coffee grown in Hawaii. The free self-guided walk winds through coffee trees at various stages with excellent interpretive signs, plus a small museum and multi-variety tasting bar. The Kauai coffee character (smooth, low-acid, tropical fruit notes) is quite different from Kona coffee; try both side-by-side at the tasting counter. A pleasant 45-minute stop that pairs naturally with a Poipu or Waimea Canyon day.
