The old paniolo (cowboy) town where Baldwin Ave, Makawao Ave and Olinda Rd meet. The forest reserve above it was proclaimed on 21 April 1908 to protect East Maui's watershed.
No booking. Free street parking along Baldwin and Makawao Avenues; most shops open late morning.
